What to eat in Maldives:
Maldives Cuisine is based on their local produce; Coconut, Fish, & Starches. Coconut is used in almost all the dished in different forms. The use Coconut oil, Coconut Milk & grated Coconut. Although you get a wide range of fish, we had mostly tuna cooked in the different style, and the wide range of shellfishes. I found the cuisine is a Mix of Indian, Arabic and Srilankan food. Some similarities with Kerala Cusine.

Garudhiya: Rice served with Fishbroth, lime, chilli & Onion.
Mas huni: Cooked and shredded fish with grated coconut and onions.
(Most of the hotels in Maldives will provide Mas huni for breakfast)
Keemia: Deeply fried fish rolls
Thelui Mas: Fried Fish with Chili and garlic
